Drizzly Morning

I slept in an extra hour this morning and it was glorious! My alarm went off, and I thought “meh”, and rolled over and went back to sleep. When I actually woke up, I had my usual glass of warm water with lemon and cayenne while I cooked breakfast for my brother and myself. We had big bowls of blueberry oatmeal, which my brother let sit for about an hour because he is weird and only likes cold food. I ate all of mine before I could take a picture of it, so I took a picture of my brother’s cold bowl of purple-y goodness.

Despite the fact that it is March, and that it was around 50 degrees two days ago, it is snowing, and sleeting, and raining sideways, and all of that other fun wintery stuff. It’s getting a liiiiiittle old actually. Daylight saving is in 3 days and it cannot come soon enough. I am so tired of it being dark so early. I have never understood that daylight savings time crap anyway. Maybe 150 years ago it made some sense, but it is more or less just torture now. Government mind control to keep us all sad for half of the year. hahahaha. ok, that’s enough out of me. I tried to take a photo, but you can barely see anything falling, but you still get the point: gross.

wintery mix in March.

On a side note, I’d like to apologize for the quality of these photos. I’m sure that I’ll figure out how to take decent blog photos, but for now, bear with me.

Well, I’m off to get in my 5 miles (on a treadmill, thanks nature), and then I’m off to the night gig, which is bartending. It’s a fun, fast paced job and I like doing it, but I like it less when I see this face as I’m walking out the door.

"But, mom...? Can I come?"
“But, mom…? Can I come?”

How can you leave that?!?
